Best Cafés in West London with Namrata
We spend an afternoon with Namrata, originally from India and a true Londoner and matcha lover, working in the communications space. She shows us around some of her favorite cafes in the city, from the perfect spot to bring your laptop and do some work to the best Danish pastries in the neighbourhood.
HJEM
A neighbourhood favourite says Namrata is Hjem - the Danish cafe has the best cardammon and cinammon buns and you can expect a long queue on Sunday morning. Luckily, they recently opened a second location close to Gloucester Station which is slightly less crowded.
Tease
"Got the recommendation from a client and now it's my go-to." Located in South Kensington at a walking distance from the station, the understated café specialises in healthy drinks without any refined sugars. The vanilla iced coffee and iced matcha are the bestsellers of the summer.
Ember Locke Kensington
Sometimes it is difficult to find a café that allows laptops and has a good space to work, so it was a great tip when Namrata showd us Ember Locke. It is the perfect co-working space - open from 7am with coffee and pastries, the space feels cozy whilst having a good working ambiance.
Ottolenghi at Pavillion Road
Ottolenghi is a must-try when in London. Vegetarian food that is incredibly flavourful + a big arrangment of cakes and sweets. There are several locations in London but the Pavillion Road one makes it a great stop for people watch and grab-and-go in one of the busiest and most charming streets of Chelsea.
Vardo
At walking distance of Sloane Square and in one of the buzziest areas during weekends (Saturday food market at Duke of York Sq), Vardo is one of the restaurants by Caravan - a coffee and dining staple in London. From Middle Eastern brunch options to sourdough pizza to specialty coffee it's a no-brainer for a quick and good bite.
